Nigerian artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, has made a bold move against TVC television after his latest podcast.
According to GistLover, Nigerian television presenter Nyma Akashat Zibiri expressed her disappointment in Afrobeats singer Davido after he discussed the poor economic situation.
In an interview, Davido stated that the economy is in a bad place and warned Americans not to consider relocating or investing in Nigeria.
He also criticized the significant decline of the naira compared to the dollar. Nyma argued that Davido’s remarks might be damaging to President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to bring in foreign investment.
She stated that eliminating the fuel subsidy was the smartest move by the current administration.
While a few key people in the country have commented on this issue, Davido opted to voice his thoughts on a famous television network.
In a recent set of tweets on Elon Musk’s X, Davido teased TVC:
“Lmao @tvcnewsng nah today ?? Yall mad cus we the Real AMBASSADORS!! 🇳🇬🌎.”
In another tweet, he praised his accent from the viral media conversation:
