Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed delight at Alex Iwobi’s impressive performances for Fulham this season.
The Nigerian international has been in fine form since his move from Everton last summer, netting five goals in 15 Premier League appearances for Marco Silva’s side.
He was also instrumental to Fulham’s 1-1 draw against the Gunners on Sunday.
Reflecting on the former Arsenal star’s progress, Arteta lauded Iwobi’s unique qualities.
Speaking to Metro UK, he said: “I always liked him a lot. I thought that he had tremendous talent and a very special quality.
“He has the capacity to play in different spaces and positions. I’m really happy to see him performing at this level.”
Iwobi, now 28, has become a key figure in Fulham’s midfield, just as is the case with the Nigerian national team.
