Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a surprising move for Manchester United‘s young talent, Alejandro Garnacho.
This follows their failed attempt to secure Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.
The transfer news comes hot on the heels of a collapsed £50 million deal for Tel, who turned down a move to North London after a personal meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
According to the Mail, Tottenham are keen to sign a forward before the transfer window closes on Monday.

After missing out on Tel, the club have now set their sights on the 20-year-old Argentine winger, Garnacho.
Meanwhile, United coach Ruben Amorim has always praised Garnacho for his understanding of the game.
“He changed right after that City game. He’s improving but it’s not from me — it’s the way he understands things. I just want to help him.
“He understands sometimes I am a different coach. That I’m demanding in my way and sometimes it is hard to make the first impact.
“All the merit is for Garnacho. He understood the position, playing inside and outside. The connection with Mainoo,” the manager added.
Manchester United have set a high bar for Garnacho, reportedly demanding £65 million when Chelsea showed interest earlier this month.
Napoli’s offers, including a bid of around £50 million, have also been rebuffed.
This season, Garnacho has featured in 22 Premier League games, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
